Eating a confection while seeing the moon.– Sounds very romantic, doesn’t it ? “The Moon” is a perfect confection for such a special time.

Wagashi (Japanese style sweet) of Toyama

Since it resembles the moonlight floating in the sky, this wagashi was named “moon”. It uses fresh eggs and refined sugar (wasanbon in Japanese) of first-class sugar for ingredients, and was dried after being boiled down carefully.

This wagashi goes well with not only Japanese green tea, but also black coffee.

This dry Japanese sweet has slight egg flavor with the sweetness and crunchy texture. The elegant taste is not too sweet, and it has been fascinating tea lovers. It instantly melts in your mouth, and it goes well with not only Japanese green tea, but also black coffee.
